The Season of Gratitude: Giving Back, Together
November always reminds us to pause and reflect — to give thanks for how far we’ve come and the people who have made that journey meaningful. At Healthy Real Estate & Associates, this month holds special significance. It marks our business anniversary, my birthday, and of course, the season of Thanksgiving.
Since opening our doors in November 2018, we’ve been honored to serve this community — helping families find not only homes but also hope, balance, and belonging. This year, that gratitude inspires action.
A Season of Reflection and SELAH
Gratitude is most powerful when shared. I often think of this time of year as a “season of SELAH” — a pause to give and receive with open hearts and hands. For some, joy may be clouded by tighter budgets, job insecurity, or memories of loss. I know that feeling personally, which is why I’m passionate about creating spaces where generosity and community meet real need.
Giving and receiving are both acts of community — a way to remind one another that we’re not alone.
Introducing the Gratitude & Giving Community Drive
This November, we’re launching the Gratitude & Giving Community Give-Back Drive, in partnership with the Phoenix Family Resource Center — an organization dedicated to providing food, clothing, and essential items for those who need them most.
Our goal is simple: to make it easier for families to access life’s necessities and for neighbors to extend kindness in tangible ways. Beginning this month, HREA’s office will serve as a drop-off location for new or gently used donations (clothing, home goods, and essentials).
Donation Drop-Off Hours
📍 1813 Marsh Road, Ste. D, Wilmington, DE 19810
🕘 Monday–Friday: 9 AM–3 PM
🕘 Saturday–Sunday: 9 AM–1 PM
Volunteer Location
📍Phoenix Family Resource Center @ 6 Church Drive, New Castle, DE 19720 (10:00 AM-12:00PM)
These donations will directly support the Phoenix Family Resource Center’s ongoing efforts — open year-round to serve our community.
More Than a Drive — A Culture of Care
At HREA, our mission has always extended beyond real estate. We believe Healthy Homes create Healthy Hearts, and Healthy Hearts build Healthy Communities. Our culture celebrates stewardship, sustainability, and social wellness — values that guide every relationship we build, every family we serve, and every initiative we champion.
That’s why on December 6th (10 AM–12 PM), we’re hosting a volunteer event at Phoenix Family Resource Center’s New Castle office to sort donations and clean shelving in compliance with DNREC guidelines. We’ll also host a cozy Coffee Café for everyone who joins us — a small gesture of warmth and connection for those who give their time.
